Be an astronaut for the day at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. Travel 380 miles into space to join NASA on their last mission to service the greatest telescope in history in the just released film IMAX® HUBBLE, now playing in the Heikoff Dome Theater (Opens March 19, 2010. Make your very own spectroscope, similar to the instrument used on the Hubble Telescope to measure the light coming from distant stars. Learn more about our universe and see the latest research and images from NASA in the “Origins in Space” exhibition. Take the Hubble Trivia Challenge for a chance to win IMAX passes, astronaut ice cream and other space-y prizes. FREE gallery admission for all ages with $8.50 IMAX.
Plus visit various Balboa Park institutions featuring hands-on science activities and special programs for kids of all ages. This park-wide event kicks off the weeklong San Diego Science Festival 2010.
