Building upon last year's successful theme "The Science of You" (How does Science impact YOUR life); in 2010, we will focus on "The Science of Us" (How does Science impact the environment around US). The theme will be:

The Science of Us
Innovation Inspired by Nature
Nature Protected by Innovation

We will continue to celebrate all aspects of Science but will give extra emphasis to areas such as clean technology, renewable energy, green chemistry, deciphering nature and bio-mimicry, sustainability, conservation and ecology.

I am excited to report that we are starting off this years effort with a BANG! I have secured two large grants totaling $300K to launch our efforts. We will build on many of the successful programs developed last year like The Nifty Fifty, Lunch with a Laureate, Science on the Mesa, Small Wonders, Operation Balboa and The Science Expo. In addition, I will again be putting my full time effort (and financial backing) behind this project.
