The Nanotechnology Research Foundation (NRF) is seeking one young man and one young woman, ages 15-17 to become spokespersons for our organization on a volunteer basis and with the potential of securing total or partial funds towards a scholarship for a college or university of their choice.

We are seeking charismatic, mature, well-spoken adolescents that have been good, responsible and overachieving students, particularly in math and science. They have the desire to attend a good university and pursue a career in engineering, technology or related areas. They are interested in positively impacting society through environmental or scientific/medical/healthcare careers. They would be interested in learning about nanotechnology, and its role in the future of this country and our world.

They have a compelling life story such as financial need, loss of parents or any other challenges or obstacles that would make it difficult for them to afford going to college.

Their primary objective, as NRF spokesperson, would be to bring awareness through the media about nanotechnology to other students across the US, as well as general population, while raising funds for their own scholarship - college tuition and expenses.

Interested students would need to provide photos, a short essay of why they would like to study engineering or related areas, why they feel they could be a good spokesperson for NRF, letters of recommendation from at least one teacher, recent report cards and a letter from parents authorizing their submission to NRF.

Where do they need to be located? In San Diego, or it doesn't matter?
