Hi fellow BMSers, past and present,

Is anyone interested in helping me put together a program or exhibit for the Science Festival with the goal of promoting our graduate program? Please ask around and try to get some other folks from BMS to join MySDscience (and this group in particular) so we can reach critical mass and create something that will highlight the accomplishments of our students (and/or alums) in a way that anyone from the community can appreciate. A cool photo gallery? Fluorescent protein exhibit? Videos of mice with bizarre behavior? I am open to ideas and I think we can round up a decent budget to make this happen.

Cheers,
Nate

I'm going to hit this thread again in hopes of inspiring a few of you active students to get involved. We may get some official program support in the near future, so now is the time to voice your opinion and interests.
It's official: BMS students can intern for the Science Festival as an alternative to the conventional teaching assistant requirement. Other volunteer opportunities also exist if you're unsure of your availability for a larger time commitment. Drop me a line asap if you're interested in either option.
